I love Fisherman's Wharf. Yes, it is a tourist trap. Yes, it is cheesy. Yes, there are better parts of the city. But it also has tons of hidden gems like the Musee Mecanique and the benches at Aquatic Park that make it all worth it. We took Teddy to Hyde Street Pier on an incredibly sunny Sunday and he loved it. We decided not to go on the boats because we know both grandparents will want to take him there and we thought we'd save it.
And in the maritime gift shop, I learned Teddy's new sentences as we looked at the model ships, flags and other nautical stuff we don't need.
"[Teddy] have it." Repeated five times. And then followed with the totally new, "[Daddy] buy it."
